The NEW Ambassador program consists of 30 dedicated professionals who are the eyes, ears, and legs of the Chamber. Ambassadors are assigned to a small group of Chamber Members. The Ambassadors’ job is to establish a working relationship with each of these members, providing them more personal attention.

Ann Ash, Team Captain

Ann is employed at the Georgia Baptist Conference Center. Ann is married to Tim and they have two sons, Wesley and Grayson.Ann is a member of First Baptist Church.  She is a member of the Rotary Club and the Cotillion Club. Ann volunteers in various community and civic organizations. Ann is the Events Planner for the Georgia Baptist Conference Center. Hobbies include spending time with her boys and entertaining.

Cassandra Wilkins

Cassandra works at Global Partitions in the Human Resource Department.  Cassandra loves all kinds of music; she enjoys playing the piano, singing and dancing.  Her most favorite thing to do is spending time with family and friends.

Mariesa Pavliscsak, Team Captain

Mariesa is the owner and CEO of Advertising Unlimited, Inc. Mariesa is a native of Toccoa Stephens County and is married to Andy; she has a son John Crawford and a grandson, Andrew. Mariesa is a member of Hill Street Baptist Church where she sings in the choir. She’s a member of the Toccoa Cotillion Club. Mariesa has served on the Chamber Board as well as volunteering in other community and civic events. Among her many accomplishments, Mariesa was a Purple Hurricane Cheerleader and she is an Expert Pistol Shooter. Her most favorite thing is spending time with her grandson Andrew.

Tammy Riddle, Ambassador Program Chair

Tammy is a Loan Officer at Stephens Federal Bank by trade but operates a small business on the side, Heavenly Desserts by Tammy. Tammy is a native of Toccoa and is married to Ed. They have a small farm and raise Black Angus cattle. Tammy is an active member at Tom’s Creek Baptist Church where she sings in the choir, teaches Sunday School and is the Church Clerk. Tammy volunteers her time to the Chamber, United Way and other community and civic events.  Her favorite thing to do is take a nap when she can find time to.

Nic Black, Team Captain

Nic gave up acting to relocate to Georgia and assume his manager’s position with ASI Southeast (a Division of Global Partitions). Nic is married to Candle and they have 2 children, Jet (4) and Lily (2). Nic is from Tennessee. He was a professional actor from 1999-2007. Nic and Candle own and operate Hodgepodge, a unique shop offering a variety of new and used items. Nic’s hobbies include ANY type of sports; he is a sports fanatic.

Brooke Stowe

Brooke is employed at North Georgia Credit Union. Brooke is married to her high school sweetheart, Jeremy, and they have 2 darling daughters, Carson, age 4 and Malloree, age 18 months.  Brooke is native to Toccoa Stephens County.  Brooke was a SCHS Indian Cheerleader for 4 years!  She is an active member of Zebulon Baptist Church. She loves camping and spending time with her family. Brooke and family enjoy their own little zoo consisting of goats, dogs, rabbits, chickens and turtles.  Needless to say the Stowe’s are animal lovers!!

Danette Smith

Danette is employed with the Georgia Department of Labor as the Employment Marketing Representative.  Danette is married to Chad and they have an amazing 11 year old daughter, Alex. Danette loves to sing and play the piano.  She earned her Bachelor of Music degree from Southern Wesleyan University.  Danette plays the piano at The Pointe here in Toccoa!! While Danette’s most favorite past time is spending time with Alex she also likes to shop til she drops and she loves to decorate.

 

Christy Lecroy

Christy is the Accounts Manager at Next to Me Medical Supplies, a family owned/operated business here in Toccoa!  Christy is married to Larry and they have 4 children – Reed (16), Chandler (13), Harper (6), and Emerson (5) and 2 dogs. Christy is an active member at First Baptist Church where she serves on the Youth Advisory Council.  She also serves on the Eastanolle School Council and the County Council.  Christy stays very busy with 4 children in 3 different schools in the County .  Her most favorite thing to do is spending time with family and friends on the lake; she also loves to cook and do yard work.

Tina Powell

Tina is employed with Convalescent Home Equipment.  Tina is married to Russell and they have 2 children, Tristan (14) and Skylar (10). She serves as Treasurer for the Liberty Elementary PTO.  Tina’s taxi cab is always on the road to Tristan’s baseball games or Skylar’s dance and gymnastic events.  She and Russell have a Residential Rental Business on the side.  Tina and family have a mini farm consisting of a horse, 2 donkeys, 3 dogs and 3 cats.  Her most favorite thing to do is spend time with her family.

Greg Roach, Team Captain

Greg serves as Director of Operations at North GA Technical College Currahee Campus.  Greg is married to Barbara and they have 2 Dachshunds, Cooper and Tybee.  He attends Carnes Creek Baptist Church where he serves as Education Director, Deacon and teaches a Young Adult Sunday School class.  Greg is a member of the Toccoa Rotary Club as well as serves on numerous Community and Civic Committees.  Greg enjoys Church activities, community activities and pretty much anything else that includes promoting Toccoa Stephens County.  His hobbies include fishing and hunting but his most favorite thing to do is taking road trips through the mountains with Barbara.  Greg is very proud of his Appalachian heritage and his hillbilly roots.

Kayla Carpenter

Kayla is employed at the Stephens County Development Authority.  She married her high school sweetheart, Justin, in May 2010 and they are expecting their 1st child in May!!  They have a teacup Yorkie named Winnie and 2 boxers, Beau & Bella.  Kayla attends Tates Creek Baptist Church.  She is a 2010 Graduate of North Georgia College & State University.  Kayla is a 2006 SCHS graduate where she cheered for the Indians for 4 years.  Her hobbies include reading, watching classic movies, spending time with family, and UGA football. Her most favorite thing to do is go SNOW skiing.

 

Rabun Kimzey

Rabun is employed by Regions Bank. He went to school at Habersham Central High School and graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA in marketing. He is also on the board of directors for the Salvation Army. He is now married to his wife, Kristin, and has a little girl named Kailey. Rabun has a pet shiatsu and a bunny. Rabun spends most of his free time keeping up with his six year old girl and enjoys both water skiing and snow skiing. His favorite movies consists all of the Star Wars films and also enjoys watching the television show How I Met Your Mother.

 

Anne Shurley

Anne has been employed by Currahee Club since moving to Toccoa and is currently the Community Manager. Anne moved to Toccoa in 2004 to be closer to her family after living in Atlanta and working for CNN for 21 years. Anne is a member of St. Matthias Episcopal Church where she serves as Co-Treasurer. She is also a member of the Toccoa Rotary Club, Vestry member, and teaches a 6th grade Sunday school class. She was a past Chamber Board member and member of the Currahee Artists Guild. She volunteers in other community events. The family pets are labradoodles; Bitsie Bichon Frise and Holly Berry. Her favorite activities include golfing, boating, kayaking, yoga, and photography.

 

Stephanie Lowery

Stephanie is employed by Farm Bureau. She went to Hart Country High School in Hartwell and Tri-Country Technical College. She is now married to her husband Jerald and they have two sons. There are also 4 pet dogs in the family. Her hobbies include boating and camping with her family.

 

Krystle Whitlock

Krystle is employed by Whitlock Mortuary. In 2006, she graduated from SCHS. After high school, she attended Gainesville State College and graduated majoring in Business Administration in 2010. She plans on obtaining her Funeral Directors License in the future. Krystle has a pet dog named Oliver and attends Ebenezer Baptist Church. She likes to go hiking and traveling. On her spare time she volunteers and does some occasional planning for community events. She also likes to spend her time with family and friends. Krystle enjoys all kinds of classic movies, especially movies with Audrey Hepburn.

 

Barbara Payne

Barbara works with Northview Properties.  She graduated from Stephens County High School, received her AA from Young Harris College and her BA from the University of Georgia.  She and her husband, Kenneth, have been married for 31 years.  They have one daughter, Laura Kay and two dogs Tahoe and Teton.  Barbara attends First Baptist Church of Toccoa.  She is a former member of the Jr. Women’s Club and is currently a member of the Cotillion Club.  Her hobbies include church activities, traveling, shopping and interior decorating.  She loves the mountains, arts and crafts.  The television show, The Closer, is her favorite.

 

Danny Yearwood

Danny works at the Stephens County Sheriff Department in support of the Stephens County Anti Drup Coalition. Danny has been married for 25 years. They have a son named Keaton and a daughter named Kealsey. They also have a pet bull dog. He attends The Pointe Church.

 

Ken Lash

Ken Lash works as a Business Coach for Business Coaching Dynamics. He received his bachelors degree at the University of Athens Georgia and obtained his masters at the University of Gainesville. For 36 years, Ken has been married to his wife Kim and has two children; he has one son and one daughter. He also has two miniature Yorkshires as pets. Ken attends the Church of God in Buford. On his free time he enjoys modeling trains. His favorite book to read is Bune and likes Star Trek.

 

Eddie Powers

Eddie works with DOCO Credit Union. He and his wife Terri have four boys and one girl. They also have a wonderful grandson named Brooks. In addition to the family are two dogs and two cats, who think they are dogs. He attends church at New Hope Baptist. To relax, Eddie likes to do yard work. He does not have a favorite book, but enjoys reading John Grisham books and likes watching The Big Bang Theory.

 

Laura Coleman

Laura is employed by Circle of Hope. In the year 2000, she received her BS in Interpersonal & Organizational Communications from Toccoa Falls College. After TFC she went to North Georgia Tech. She married to James Coleman and had three children, all girls. Megan is 15 years old, Launie is 6 years old, and Reyanne is 2 years old. They have a pet named Shadow which is a Springer and Lab mix dog. She attends church at 1st Alliance and is part of the Cadet Programs and Developmental Officer for Group 1 Civil Air Patrol. She is also a firefighter/ EMT at New Hope Fire Dept. and part of the American Red Cross Disaster Action Capt. Her favorite television shows are Criminal Minds and NCIS.

 

Tim Mullen

Tim is employed at Kentucky Fried Chicken. He graduated high school at Clinton High School in Clinton, IA. He continued his education for 12 years. He is a father and a grandfather. In addition to the family are his two dogs, Allie and Harley, and one cat, Andy. He attends the 1st Presbyterian Church of Cornelia and has membership at the Optimist Club. On his spare time, Tim likes to go bowling, sing, and entertain. His favorite book to read is the Bible. He enjoys watching the movie Bad Boys and the show Americas Got Talent.

 

Leon Womack

Leon is employed with March of Dimes and Hallmark Cards. He received his BBA in Marketing after four years of studying from the University of Georgia. He is now married to his wife Carol and has a total of four children. He has two pet dogs named Snowball and Tinkerbelle. The church he attends is Saint Maryâ��s Catholic Church. Leon is a member at the Clayton Rotary Club. He enjoys March of Dimes and on his free time he likes to spend it enjoying life with his wife and dogs. He loves to shop with his wife and play golf. Some of Leons favorite television shows are Castle and Revenge. One of his favorite movies is Pretty Woman, and he likes all the movies casting Julia Roberts or Jack Nicolson.

AMBASSADORS
Throughout the year, a team of Ambassadors serve as relationship managers with our members.  These are special, caring people who are outgoing and have excellent communication skills.
